These terms cover your use of JunkYardPicker. They are written to be read, so they are shorter than most. Using the site means you accept them.
JunkYardPicker is an information tool. You choose a vehicle, and it shows you the parts that come off it, what those parts are currently listed for on the used market, roughly how long each takes to remove, and a ranking built from those figures.
That is the whole of it. We do not sell parts, buy parts, hold parts, broker a sale, or handle money between you and anybody else. We do not own, run or speak for any salvage yard, and we do not know what is standing in the one you are driving to.
Prices shown are drawn from current public listings - what sellers are asking. They are not sold prices, not appraisals, and not an offer from anyone to buy anything from you at that figure. A part that lists at a hundred dollars may sell for sixty, or may not sell at all.
Removal times are typical figures for the job, not a measurement of your particular car, your tools or the weather. Yard board prices are the usual rates, shown so you can check them against the board on the wall, which is the only one that counts.
Some figures are estimates rather than measurements, and the app labels them where they appear. We do not warrant that any number here is accurate, current, or suitable for a decision you are about to make. Treat it as a starting point for your own judgement, because that is what it is.

Salvage yards are working industrial sites. Vehicles are stacked, edges are sharp, fluids are underfoot, and parts are heavy and under tension. Nothing this app suggests is a judgement that a particular part is safe for you to remove, that you have the right tools for it, or that the car it is attached to is stable.
You are responsible for your own safety and for following the rules of the yard you are in. Where our suggestion and the yard staff disagree, the yard staff are right.
Used parts are used. Whether a part is fit to fit to a vehicle - particularly anything that steers, stops, restrains, or carries fuel or current - is a judgement for you or a qualified mechanic, not for a price list.
An account is one person and one email address. There is no password: signing in means opening a link we send to your address, so anyone who can read your email can reach your account. Keep it secure, and tell us if you think somebody else has.
You must be old enough to enter a binding contract where you live, and the details you give us must be your own and accurate.
A paid plan is for a person using the site. It is not a data feed. Do not scrape, crawl or automate access; do not republish, resell or redistribute the pricing and rankings; and do not share one account between several people.
This is not an abstract rule. Our own pricing comes from a third-party marketplace under a daily ceiling shared by every customer at once, so automated access does not cost us a little extra - it takes live pricing away from everybody else using the site that day.
Do not attempt to break, probe or work around the limits, the paywall, or anybody else’s account.
Prices are shown on the pricing page in US dollars, and payment is handled by Stripe. We never see or hold your card details.
A day pass is a single charge that expires by itself. A subscription renews automatically at the interval you chose until you cancel it. Cancelling, refunds, and what happens to access you have already paid for are covered in the refund and cancellation policy.
We may change prices. An existing subscription keeps its price until the end of the period you have already paid for, and we will tell you before a changed price applies to a renewal, so you can cancel first.
We try to keep the site up and the pricing fresh, and we do not promise either without interruption. Maintenance happens, third-party services fail, and market data can go stale when an upstream source is unavailable.
Sheets you have already opened are stored on your device and remain readable offline, which is deliberate - the site being down should not strand you in a yard with no list.
You can stop using the site whenever you like, cancel a subscription from your account page, and ask us to delete your account.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, particularly the fair use section. Where we do that and you have paid for time you have not had, we will refund the unused part unless the closure was for automated access or another deliberate breach.
The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties, and we are not liable for a decision you made using these numbers - a part that sold for less than it was listed at, a trip that was not worth the fuel, or a car that was gone when you got there.
Where we are liable despite that, our total liability is limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected by anything in these terms.
We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and a material change will be told to you by email before it applies.
These terms are governed by the law of the United States. If you are a consumer elsewhere, you keep the protections of your own local law regardless.
