2005 Porsche Boxster seat switch

The middle asking price for a used one is $131.93, across 12 live eBay listings for the 2003–2008 generation. Half of them ask between $124.99 and $179.99. That’s what sellers are asking, not what buyers paid. Sold prices aren’t published anywhere you can count on, and asking prices usually run about a quarter higher than what things sell for — so we say which one this is.

How it comes off

  1. On most cars it sits in the plastic shield on the side of the seat.
  2. Pull the knobs off, then remove the shield’s screws and unclip it.
  3. Unscrew the switch from the shield and unplug it.

The usual order on most cars. A 2005 Porsche Boxster may hide a screw or a clip somewhere else: if a piece will not move, look for what is still holding it before you pry harder.

What to bring for it

Typical sizes, not a promise for every car. Everything to bring to a pull-your-own yard.

Is it worth pulling?

That depends on what the yard charges for it and how long it takes to get off the car, and on where it sits against the other 84 parts on a 2005 Porsche Boxster that have a market. The full sheet for this vehicle ranks all of them by what you save and by what you clear.
