2005 Pontiac GTO front bumper cover

The middle asking price for a used one is $7.59, across 13 live eBay listings for the 2004–2006 generation. Half of them ask between $5.69 and $11.39. That’s what sellers are asking, not what buyers paid. Sold prices aren’t published anywhere you can count on, and asking prices usually run about a quarter higher than what things sell for — so we say which one this is.

How it comes off

Hood, hatch and tailgate struts hold the panel up under load. Support the panel before you take a strut off, and bring a helper for anything you cannot hold with one arm.

  1. Remove the screws and clips in both wheel wells, along the bottom edge and under the hood.
  2. On some cars the grille or the headlights hold its top edge: free those first.
  3. Pull the corners out to release the side clips.
  4. Unplug the fog lights and sensors, then draw it forward with a helper.

The usual order on most cars. A 2005 Pontiac GTO may hide a screw or a clip somewhere else: if a piece will not move, look for what is still holding it before you pry harder.

What to bring for it

Typical sizes, not a promise for every car. Everything to bring to a pull-your-own yard.

Is it worth pulling?

That depends on what the yard charges for it and how long it takes to get off the car, and on where it sits against the other 76 parts on a 2005 Pontiac GTO that have a market. The full sheet for this vehicle ranks all of them by what you save and by what you clear.
