2009 Pontiac G8 throttle body

The middle asking price for a used one is $60.00, across 20 live eBay listings for the 2008–2010 generation. Half of them ask between $45.01 and $80.00. That’s what sellers are asking, not what buyers paid. Sold prices aren’t published anywhere you can count on, and asking prices usually run about a quarter higher than what things sell for — so we say which one this is.

How it comes off

  1. Take off the intake tube.
  2. Unplug it, and unhook the throttle cable on older cars. Put a rag under any coolant hoses before you take them off.
  3. Remove the bolts or nuts, and keep the gasket with it.

The usual order on most cars. A 2009 Pontiac G8 may hide a screw or a clip somewhere else: if a piece will not move, look for what is still holding it before you pry harder.

What to bring for it

Typical sizes, not a promise for every car. Everything to bring to a pull-your-own yard.

Is it worth pulling?

That depends on what the yard charges for it and how long it takes to get off the car, and on where it sits against the other 73 parts on a 2009 Pontiac G8 that have a market. The full sheet for this vehicle ranks all of them by what you save and by what you clear.
