1998 Oldsmobile Bravada seat belt

The middle asking price for a used one is $79.99, across 9 live eBay listings for the 1996–2001 generation. Half of them ask between $48.00 and $102.60. That’s what sellers are asking, not what buyers paid. Sold prices aren’t published anywhere you can count on, and asking prices usually run about a quarter higher than what things sell for — so we say which one this is.

How it comes off

Front seats and belts can carry side airbags and belt pretensioners. Leave any yellow connector alone if the yard has not made the car safe, and bring a second pair of hands for a seat.

  1. Unclip the pillar trim to reach the retractor.
  2. Remove the anchor bolt at the floor and the bolt at the shoulder.
  3. Remove the retractor bolt and lift the retractor out.
  4. The buckle bolts to the seat frame or the floor beside it.

The usual order on most cars. A 1998 Oldsmobile Bravada may hide a screw or a clip somewhere else: if a piece will not move, look for what is still holding it before you pry harder.

What to bring for it

Typical sizes, not a promise for every car. Everything to bring to a pull-your-own yard.

Is it worth pulling?

That depends on what the yard charges for it and how long it takes to get off the car, and on where it sits against the other 72 parts on a 1998 Oldsmobile Bravada that have a market. The full sheet for this vehicle ranks all of them by what you save and by what you clear.
