2004 Jaguar XJR turn signal switch

The middle asking price for a used one is $96.95, across 7 live eBay listings for the 2002–2007 generation. Half of them ask between $74.95 and $129.99. That’s what sellers are asking, not what buyers paid. Sold prices aren’t published anywhere you can count on, and asking prices usually run about a quarter higher than what things sell for — so we say which one this is.

How it comes off

The steering wheel carries the driver’s airbag. If the yard has not taken it out, leave it alone: an airbag can go off when it is disturbed.

  1. Take off the column shrouds: screws from underneath, then the halves separate.
  2. Remove the screws holding the switch to the column, or release its tab and slide it out.
  3. Unplug it. Where it sits behind the wheel, leave it while the airbag is in.

The usual order on most cars. A 2004 Jaguar XJR may hide a screw or a clip somewhere else: if a piece will not move, look for what is still holding it before you pry harder.

What to bring for it

Typical sizes, not a promise for every car. Everything to bring to a pull-your-own yard.

Is it worth pulling?

That depends on what the yard charges for it and how long it takes to get off the car, and on where it sits against the other 80 parts on a 2004 Jaguar XJR that have a market. The full sheet for this vehicle ranks all of them by what you save and by what you clear.
