1998 Honda Prelude window motor

The middle asking price for a used one is $101.80, across 15 live eBay listings for the 1996–2001 generation. Half of them ask between $74.75 and $169.95. That’s what sellers are asking, not what buyers paid. Sold prices aren’t published anywhere you can count on, and asking prices usually run about a quarter higher than what things sell for — so we say which one this is.

How it comes off

  1. Take the door panel off and peel back the plastic sheet behind it.
  2. Tape the glass up to the frame before you free the regulator.
  3. Unplug the motor, remove the regulator bolts, and work it out through the access hole.
  4. Unbolt the motor from the regulator, or keep the two together.

The usual order on most cars. A 1998 Honda Prelude may hide a screw or a clip somewhere else: if a piece will not move, look for what is still holding it before you pry harder.

What to bring for it

Typical sizes, not a promise for every car. Everything to bring to a pull-your-own yard.

Is it worth pulling?

That depends on what the yard charges for it and how long it takes to get off the car, and on where it sits against the other 79 parts on a 1998 Honda Prelude that have a market. The full sheet for this vehicle ranks all of them by what you save and by what you clear.
