1996 Ford Aerostar front seat

The middle asking price for a used one is $8.54, across 24 live eBay listings for the 1996–1997 generation. Half of them ask between $8.54 and $9.49. That’s what sellers are asking, not what buyers paid. Sold prices aren’t published anywhere you can count on, and asking prices usually run about a quarter higher than what things sell for — so we say which one this is.

How it comes off

Front seats and belts can carry side airbags and belt pretensioners. Leave any yellow connector alone if the yard has not made the car safe, and bring a second pair of hands for a seat.

  1. Slide the seat forward to reach the back bolts, then back for the front ones. A power seat with no battery stays put: reach the bolts with an extension.
  2. Pry off the bolt covers and remove the four floor bolts.
  3. Tip the seat back and unplug everything underneath.
  4. Lift it out through the door with a helper.

The usual order on most cars. A 1996 Ford Aerostar may hide a screw or a clip somewhere else: if a piece will not move, look for what is still holding it before you pry harder.

What to bring for it

Typical sizes, not a promise for every car. Everything to bring to a pull-your-own yard.

Is it worth pulling?

That depends on what the yard charges for it and how long it takes to get off the car, and on where it sits against the other 53 parts on a 1996 Ford Aerostar that have a market. The full sheet for this vehicle ranks all of them by what you save and by what you clear.
