2013 Chevrolet Volt radio with cd

The middle asking price for a used one is $120.75, across 9 live eBay listings for the 2011–2016 generation. Half of them ask between $116.37 and $129.00. That’s what sellers are asking, not what buyers paid. Sold prices aren’t published anywhere you can count on, and asking prices usually run about a quarter higher than what things sell for — so we say which one this is.

How it comes off

  1. On the Ford, GM and VW radios that take them, push the removal keys into the slots on the face until they click, then pull the radio straight out.
  2. Otherwise unclip the trim around the radio with a trim tool and remove the screws behind it.
  3. Slide it out and unplug the connectors and the antenna lead.
  4. Some radios lock themselves until a code is entered. Look in the glove box and the owner’s manual for it.

The usual order on most cars. A 2013 Chevrolet Volt may hide a screw or a clip somewhere else: if a piece will not move, look for what is still holding it before you pry harder.

What to bring for it

Typical sizes, not a promise for every car. Everything to bring to a pull-your-own yard.

Is it worth pulling?

That depends on what the yard charges for it and how long it takes to get off the car, and on where it sits against the other 81 parts on a 2013 Chevrolet Volt that have a market. The full sheet for this vehicle ranks all of them by what you save and by what you clear.
